This downtown Pensacola wedding was one for the books! Joie and Corey reached out to me about photographing their wedding at 5Eleven Palafox and I couldn’t have been more thrilled. This historic venue is one of my favorites in the area and I was so excited to see all the updates they had recently made.
Let me tell you a bit more about this gorgeous venue – high ceilings, lush greenery, crystal chandeliers, and a 1900’s vibe that is absolute magic. It’s one of the historic buildings in downtown Pensacola and makes for an amazing setting for any wedding, but especially for Joie and Corey’s.

Right off the bat, this bridal suite is stunning. Tall windows let in plenty of natural light which is perfect for hair and makeup. A neutral, industrial theme is found in the area but is paired with comfortable couches and plenty of amenities to make it a warm and cozy spot for you and your crew.

I’m always a sucker for wedding details but these were other worldly! Joie’s gown was adorned with delicate lace and her shoes were rhinestone embellished. Fun fact, she changed into a more comfortable pair of sneakers for the dance party – in case you’re wondering how she danced in those beauties all night 😉

I loved being able to capture quiet, candid moments the morning of their wedding. Joie and her group of girls were so hyped for the day and their enthusiasm definitely rubbed off on me.

Corey and his group were getting ready at a nearby hotel. My amazing second shooter, Ashley, was able to hang with the boys and get some fantastic moments that would have been missed if she weren’t there. Ashley said the guys were so sweet and easy to work with – we knew this was going to be a great day by the vibes!

Sunshine Designs Florist absolutely outdid themselves with the floral arrangements on this day!

Since Joie wanted to do a first look with her bridesmaids she was able to get a few quiet moments by herself before getting dressed.

Joie’s mom presented her with an heirloom gift and of course we all started crying (my camera lens may have fogged up a bit). 5Eleven’s design and room layout is absolutely perfect for these intimate moments.

Before bringing in the girls Joie had a quiet moment with her dad (why’s my lens foggy again?? haha!)

While we were having these beautiful moments upstairs Ashley was able to get some portraits of Corey and his guys.

Corey presented Joie with a letter to be read before the ceremony. I used a long lens to try and not disrupt the privacy of the moment.

After the first look with the bridesmaids there was nothing but hype and a party atmosphere. I knew the reception was going to be a good one!

Events Styled by Luxe and Supposey provided the rentals and decor for this wedding. The results were stunning!

Instead of a cake the couple opted for a donut wall with donuts provided by Parlor Doughnuts.

Once the ceremony started their wasn’t a dry eye in the place. Joie and Corey exchanged vows in the lush, green courtyard of 5Eleven Palafox with their friends and family gathered to celebrate with them.

This September day was hot and humid so instead of battling the warmth outdoors we opted to head back inside 5Eleven’s beautiful bridal suite for some formal portraits. I’d say it was an awesome backdrop for these two!

Joie and Corey shared their first dance under a beautiful, clear tent on the grassy yard outside 5Eleven. Fun fact, their first dance song was a slowed down version of First Date by Blink 182. My elder emo heart was in heaven.

The party was kicked off with dancing and drinks! Everyone was having a blast.

Joie and Corey ended their 5Eleven wedding by running through a sparkler tunnel and taking a ride in their getaway car. It was a perfect night all around <3
